HUGE Nappa

Sometimes, a small child or an adult can resemble an orange on a toothpick.

Pob's growth scan yesterday has confirmed that he/she will take after his/her father when it comes to the nappa. Both the head circumference and biparietal diameter are towards the top end of the scale (ok ok, in truth they're off the scale).

Any 'So I Married an Axe Murderer' fans will know what I mean when I say, "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed".

In other news, the Poblet is growing a little too quickly, putting on 12 ounces in a fortnight, weighing in at 2lb 13oz.

We've been told that I will definitely not be allowed to go past 38 weeks, but we're more than likely looking at 36/37 depending on the next growth scan. I was also a little shocked to hear that there is a 50% chance that I will need a Caesarean Section, as my body may not be ready to deliver before I reach full-term.

Who knows what will happen, or when.

In the meantime, my insulin dose has been upped. I started out on around 10 units per day, now I'm on 28 units plus another 9 overnight.

And the good news? In every other way Pob is looking perfectly healthy, and so is mum.

Best go and buy some oversized hats.....
