What a ceiling.

Castle Howard. It was beautiful, there were so many wonderful shot, but this one was my faveourite.

The building suffered a terrible fire in 1940 and was only fully repaired in 1965, so that is why some of the painting is damaged. The fire burn through the whole of the dome and destroyed 20 rooms and the south east wing.

It was being used as a school at the time. There were no deaths. Thank god.

But this house will never be a home.
