Mum Jargon: Cruising

Verb. To make an early attempt at walking by shuffling about hanging onto furniture for dear life. Often ends with a fall.

Lyra has been cruising for a couple of weeks now (I'm assured this is the technical term though to me, cruising means something quite different...) but today she has been single minded in her determination to walk backwards and forwards along the sofa so I assumed she was hoping I'd blip it.
