veination

the other day i was meeting with some folks planning for an environmental ed program we do every other week in a local park. somehow we got to the point of looking through a field microscope at leaves. we immediately decided the kids would LOVE doing the same.

as i left the meeting it occurred to me that maybe we should not assume all kids (or all people for that matter) are plant and animal obsessed like we are. hopefully everyone can at least marvel at the intricate patterns of veins created in this sugar maple leaf.
