The Projectionist

By veinednarcissus

Here recently the men of a country are described as unfriendly, and that they do not greet each other with friendliness. Today in the afternoon, I was sitting in a beautiful coffee house filled with all manner of furniture, which looked more like art! Two men entered, one dressed as quite scruffily and with a beard, and the other in fine clothes, and clean-shaved of his chin. The first gave the manner of living in the city here, and the other, an obvious westerner, spoke of arriving only today. However, they appeared to know each other well, though living in different places, and were greeting each other warmly. They competed for whom should have the honour of paying for the refreshments they took, and sat and spoke in comfort with each other for some time. I feel these men here are no different in friendship to those of elsewhere places. The rules here by which people interact with people can be seen wrongly by some people, though elsewhere where can these men be served coffee by, and sit at a table with, a beautiful and elegant woman, as their equal, and by her choice?
