another first

the pediatrician suggested that we try cheerios with the little one. we were ecstatic. it turns out that our little one will put anything in her mouth; except, of course, cheerios. it look a little convincing but we got her to take them. i believe she hesitated because she has never held something so small (we promptly remove anything potentially hazardous right out of her little grasp). she may have also been a bit confused, considering that we were smiling and encouraging her to not only hold a small object, but to put it in her mouth; but that is just the way life is.
