Tiny
These are miniature tengkop baskets from the island of Palawan in the Philippines. They're woven out of very fine bamboo and are as pliable as leather. The small one is just over 2 inches high and the largest is 3.5 inches high. They were mementos from an aunt and a cousin, and I cherish them for both their handmade beauty and the family connection.
It's so darn hot today. I didn't have the energy to go outside and find something to blip, so I practised some close-ups indoors. I haven't got a macro but my pancake lens did a good job. Thought I'd throw in some cherries for scale. We're coming to the end of the red cherries in our garden. The dog has eaten most of them, as usual.
