today when I started my first seam on a silk bow-tie I wanted to sew, the driving belt of my sewing machine tore with a soft *twang*
it lasted probably 40 years and I think it's about half the size it used to have, but I was stunned nonetheless and didn't know what to do at first.
I ordered myself a new one online and hope it'll fit...
thank god there were no orders to sew.

so the measuring tape had a day off today...
