it was really wet and windy. one of those tempestuous days when the seasons change

we ended up in keswick and managed a short walk to the lake between a visit to the pie shop and a hot chocolate in the cafe. mr skaterg1rl was cold and miserable after 15 minutes. i felt excited by the wild winds in the trees - and insulating properties of my waterproof trousers...

we drove home, got stuck in a jam, attempted to recover in gretna services. i swear that i will never, ever visit them - or possibly any other service station - again. it was full of unfit, overweight people paying vastly over the odds for incredibly poor quality and unhealthy food. yuck. and it was filthy
