Carding Mill Valley

Today was a lovely day and we went for a day trip to Carding Mill Valley, near Church Stretton in Shropshire. It's a beautiful area in the hands of the National Trust. We went hiking up past Lightspout waterfall, then after lunch at the little cafe we went walking up to the reservoir. There were several school groups out walking, and it was clear that some of the kids weren't used to doing much walking, and they were requiring a lot of coaxing from their teachers! Later we took a narrow road up into the hills past the Midland gliding club, where we stopped for a few minutes and watched the gliders coming into land.
