Ends of eras

Today I received this in the post.

My first and final saxophone pupil, for a while at least, got a distinction for his grade 6 saxophone exam. I started him off 5 years ago, he wanted to learn the sax and was adamant he wanted me to teach him (crazy child).

Im so very proud of him (and also a little of me too if Im honest)

I wont be having anymore private pupils for a good while now.

I also threw a party (with all the cake) at lunch time for all my musician pupils to say (a slightly premature) goodbye and thankyou for being awesome (which they are). And I feel very sad right now.

Im going to miss these amazing and talented young people so so much :(
