What a lovely day - not a kettle was boiled, a cupboard opened, a cooker operated as I spent all day out and about sipping, chewing and chatting. Talk about decadent.

First stop, Dobbies for one of their legendary scones followed by a browse in the gift shop. I think one year I'll do all my Christmas shopping there, as it caters for all.

Then it was on to Rocket in Morningside for more of the same. That is a great wee cafe and their coffee is hard to beat.

Finally I zipped off to East Lothian for a soiree of feasting and even more havering. I tell you, I'll have to take a vow of silence tomorrow to rest the vocal chords.

As usual, I got lost en route to my destination and found myself in Wallyford. I'm rather glad I did, as the view from the main road was gorgeous.
