Not Ploughing but Waving
In Rothesay this morning I couldn't park as normal in Guildford Square. Walking back from where I finally got a space, I discovered that the reason was the Bute Vintage Tractor Club annual rally. I don't know how many of the machines and their proud owners were present , but there was a stage set up and Johnny Beattie was entertaining the sizeable crowd though lots of people seemed to just be browsing the amazing variety on display. Then engines were started and they revved up (literally) for a drive round the island. I had to leave before the procession set out, however, as my dental appointment ( just round the corner) could not be avoided any longer.
