Here is a boarded up window on the side wall of my neighbor's house. They have painted the exterior of their house in the last ten years I would guess (more recently than mine which hasn't been painted since, oh, 1890 - which I love) but they leave this window here.

No one can see it but me. Or someone who is on my deck (hopefully with my permission...).
