The "Not So" Golden Hour
I have been waiting quite awhile for the right opportunity to "properly" capture the field of wheat down the road from us. I woke up this morning and the sun was shining a brilliant, golden light through the clouds. I hopped in my truck (pj's and all), to head down there.... Sure enough, the sun had disappeared behind the clouds by the time I reached the field. But, what clouds they were.... I'm certain I could have captured the sheer beauty if I would have waited just a bit longer for the light to return, but we'll save that for another day.
I did learn a lesson about leaving the house straight out of bed when one of the local farmers pulled up on his motorcycle to say "good morning." Funny... he knew without asking why I was there, "Hey! You here to photograph those clouds this morning?!"
I posted a late blip yesterday...then a better "blip opportunity" presented itself late in the evening, and I changed the image. If you didn't get a chance to see it, take a peek...funny stuff happening here in my house.
Have a great weekend everyone. Catch up with you sometime next week!
