Commotion

"Well what do you know," said Sarah, addressing Becky's back. "Medical didn't have any record of me being wanted up there. Isn't that strange."

Startled, Becky turned. She tried to smile, her face working as she tried to think of something to say.

"Actually Becky," continued Sarah, "what do you know?"

At that moment, two things happened at once. There was a crash of doors followed by the sound of running feet behind them - while, at the same time, there were loud noises from the direction of the side wards where Adam was.

"Forget it, you can tell me later," said Sarah, pushing the other woman aside and hurrying along the corridor.
