Brightly coloured bicycles

There are a lot of home-painted bicycles in Groningen, in most cases probably because their were stolen at least once in their lifetimes. Which is a nice link to the fact that I had to empty my bag in front a busy store today because they thought I might have stolen something. Lucky for me, I didn't. But you could see all the people in line at the cash registers hoping that something really expensive would come out of my backpack. They almost looked disappointed when I was free to go. Guess that's the world today.
