Hibiscus

Our new hibiscus greeted us this morning with these two beautiful blossoms. It resides in a 16 inch pot under our mesquite tree so it gets noonday shade.

Yesterday, it received a watering can full of water (2 gallons) and then an additional three gallons after the pot line of our irrigation system was connected. So far, it is water tolerant. Daytime temperatures have been over 100 degrees F. Humidity is 16% this afternoon.

But the Monsoon is coming!

Went up on "A" Mountain to Pinnacle Peak Park and took some wide-angle photos of the city with the mountains in the background and stripes of dark clouds. We had thunder but no rain at home. This photo shoot was after my first class, entitled "Photo Voices" at Pima Community College. Class is an hour and a half for four Saturdays and the object is to learn how to produce a Video Slideshow to U-Tube.
