Edit at half-time - I think Spain started off trying to play some football. The Dutch of course are being clever, with fouling, with diving, and on rare occasions with football too. More cleverness, coming from the referee with all the whistling and the cards. It's all resulting in a bit of rubbish at the moment. One doesn't really expect some great attacking football in the finals, but definitely some tight stuff, perhaps a bit like the way Spain played Germany in the semi-finals. None of that has happened. Yet. What kind of advertisement will it be for football if Netherlands win in this style? Will it be too different from Italy winning the last time around?
