Bohemia

Dictionary.com lists Bohemia as meaning either a region in the West Czech Republic, or 'a district inhabited by persons, typically artists, writers, and intellectuals, whose way of life, dress, etc., are generally unconventional or avant-garde'.

This latter description sums up very well the community in which I live... we have a profusion of artists, writers, potters, craftsmen and women, felt makers, photographers, silversmiths, puppeteers, jugglers, street artists, musicians, buskers, hair braiders, weavers, basket makers, etc... this is our way of life!
