The Promise

When my son was around 14 years old I blightely promised him that when he was 18 I would take him to the Munich beer festival (Octoberfest), something I had always wanted to do.
Having forgotton said promise my son year on year reminded me on his birthday that he was one year closer to the trip.
Now this being his 18th year and his birthday passed it's time to make good on the daddy promise, damn it now I have to spend the week in German beer tents being served foaming glasses of Germany's finest by fulsome chested blonde haired staff (and thats just the guys), oooohhhh the pain, wish us luck as we jet of tomorrow on the 6am (eeeekkkk) flight via Amsterdam.
