THE CLOCK TOWER, VICTORIA

I had a day off work today, and took the train from Victoria to meet my friends Maria, Daniel and baby David at Westgate-on-Sea. I met them last year, when I was working in Brazil. Twelve months on, I'm back in London and they are based in New Delhi. They are here on holiday. We had a lovely lunch, chatting and laughing throughout the meal.

The weather was terrible though, so we didn't get to the beach at Margate.

I got back to London later than expected, because there was a problem with the train's doors. As I left Victoria station, I did a quick blip - once again, it's the new and modern, together with the old and traditional, that so appeals to me.
