The Expedition

I really wanted to show you a shot of the expedition that we went on today, but the uneasy feeling inside me led me to change the image for a more abstract one. After all, I didn't have permissions from all families to put an image of them on the web, regardless of how annonymous it might be.

They can be tricky, these privacy issues.

We took 19 kids and their respective parents on a 6km round trip along the Bibbulman Track. After all the heavy rain of the last week, the blue skies and mild temperatures were a welcome relief. I bought sausages, rolls, fruit and goodies, and then we split the supplies and firewood into everyone's back packs. Even the 4 year olds carried something.

One resourceful mum organised a post lunch craft, and this is it in full swing. The big boys made gum nut aliens and curious ear pieces with pipecleaners, whilst the littlies enjoyed creating gumnut people.
Here's the link to the Bibbulman Track, a near 1000km track stretching across the bottom third of Western Australia.
