A very busy day at work today, have been learning all about coal imports - marine vessels from Columbia and Russia, and all the details about loading and unloading off the ships... exciting stuff. Still not much chemistry there, just a lot of mucking about with spreadsheets and schedules on the computer... Two of the other chemists, while carrying out some environmental sampling today, managed to catch some baby mackerel in a bucket from the ash lagoons. They sounded quite chuffed about that - I think it was the highlight of their day! They were quickly set free though, only being an inch or two long - not enough for a tasty lunch anyway.
