Solar y luna

Green world

It has been raining hard for about 24 hours now and all the plants and flowers along my favourite path seem to have shot up overnight. My first blip, 71 days ago, was taken along this path. Back then, in early May, it had felt like being in a green tunnel, but that was nothing compared to the wonderful tangled overgrown place it has become over the summer.

I had hoped to find something French to photograph today, in honour of Bastille Day, but I ran out of time. A few years ago a French friend told me he'd once spent an unforgettable 14 July here in Scotland. "It snowed," he said, shaking his head in bafflement. As well as today's downpour, we've had gusty wind and a touch of fog - no snow yet, though you can never rule it out.
