Speechless ....

... me this time, not my mother. She's 95 next week and over the last few days is recovering from a bladder infection which has an alarming side-effect of causing her speech to become jumbled and truncated and also affects her writing. The doctor also thinks she's suffered a mini-stroke (TIA).

She seems to be improving remarkably - speech is much better and she's had quite a successful go at the crossword (albeit The Sun and not her usual Glasgow Herald!)

I should perhaps have waited to blip her on her birthday on the 22nd but I'm taking no chances. Congratulations to my mum - Eileen x
