Thou shall not pass #2

Been a damp dismal day today, so headed out to take some damp dismal photos the mist was down below 100m which made a good damp dismal backdrop for photos of Smeaton's Bridge over the Tay, I then came across this lad attempting a U-Turn in Tay Street in the centre of Perth. I don't know what sort of day he'd had, but the words damp and dismal come to mind and his day wasn't improving once he discovered he couldn't get his vehicle round.

He pulled back into the coach drop-off bay on this side of the road and waited. Once the traffic had cleared and there was a break in both directions he pulled onto the far side of the road, stopped, and then reversed (now moving in the correct direction for the lane he was in) back to the traffic lights at the junction of Tay Street and Canal Street. The lights changed and he continued to reverse through the lights, stopped, then pulled forward and drove down Canal Street.

Good effort sir, no cars, bollards or even pedestrians were damaged during these manoeuvres and the reversing was done in a particularly straight line - respect!

Thou shall not pass #1 was a far more serious affair but fortunately with only financial consequences and this gives me the opportunity to repeat my footnote in praise of Somerfield for the way they handled that incident. "As ever, insurance was a complete waste of time and the small print ensured Mick & Kath were not covered, however Somerfield came up with £200 even though they themselves couldn't reclaim it from their insurance - Well done Somerfield".
