Airports

Our flight home at 5am didn't happen. We were on the plane about 4:30am. Then we had to get off and back on to the bus while they released some pressure from the tyre. Then we were back on about 6am. Then we started to taxi towards the runway. Only to stop to be told a warning light had come on. By 7am, the problem was more serious than they thought and could we please disembark again, this time with hand luggage and go back into the terminal building.

By 9am they put on free food for the whole flight (about 180 people, KFC for breakfast, yuck!) By 12pm they decided the plane was not going anywhere that day and got another airline to fly us back to Aberdeen. So at 1pm we finally got on a plane. 8 HOURS after we were due to go. It was horrible in the airport with the kids in the heat. But considering they hadn't slept all night they were wee stars.

I felt more sorry for those waiting in Aberdeen to take off at 9am when the plane and us were in Turkey!
