Iceland

Firstly, sorry to everyone I tricked in to viewing this through use of the thumbnail.

This book featured in the background of a blip over a year ago. We'd spent quite a while talking about how we'd love to go to Iceland and so when we decided that yes, one day we'd make that dream a reality we bought the lonely planet guide.

Well with all the fuss over Eyjafjallajokull we began to wonder if we'd ever get there. Over the week we've been looking in to it more, looking at varies packages, planning an itinerary, budgeting, looking at calanders etc and it looks like after 2 years of dreaming, we'll be able to go in February 2011. We still need to book it (which hopefully we'll do in the next week or so) and it means there will be no treats between now and then with every spare penny being put towards spending money for while we're out there but I am so excited! After 5 years it will be our first (non-family visiting) holiday together. We were going to go for my birthday but unfortunately that clashes with the busiest two weeks of Beltane preparation so it's having to be moved earlier. Can it be February yet please?
