Butler Park
We were on our way to the Austin Children's Museum for some play time (they are open until 8 on Weds nights), when I decided let's hit the Liz Carpenter fountain, in Butler Park. It had been shut down for a while because kids were splashing in it and the water was not filtered. The city had said they would not reopen it until a group of parents got together (I joined the fb group), to pressure the city to put in a filtration system, so that it could be reopened.
We stopped at Sandy's for ice cream, and then sat by the pond watching fish and turtles. I then remembered we had a kite in the car and got it out. After flying it for a while, T took of his cowboy boots and shirt and got into the water. The outfit was his idea by the way :)
A great night, with a great boy. Love, love, love him.
