Morning Song

Sturnus vulgaris

Every morning, just after sunrise, this starling sits singing in the apricot tree. His song consists of clicks and squeaks, chortles and gurgles, and fair imitations of blackbird, bellbird, fantail and a stick being dragged along a picket fence.
