Wall of History

long day - just back from a meeting in London. Kendal - Euston - Canary Wharf and back in a day. Busy trains too so felt queasy on the way down.
Didn't take my camera as this was a business meeting but it was a missed opportunity and would have been worth the effort.
Went to 8 Canary Wharf which is the Global HQ for the HSBC. What a place! Designed by Sir Norman Foster and one of the tallest buildings in the UK. It was also sold to a Spanish business some time ago for £1bn which made it the most expensive property sale in the UK.
Went to the 42nd floor and got the view of London to die for. Took so many pictures on my i-phone the battery was flat by lunchtime.
Rather than show the usual view of London, the Thames, the O2 building or even city airport i thought i would show you the banks 'Wall of History.' It sits in their reception and is a catalogue of some 3743 captioned images displayed on cards coming out of the wall. It was stunning!
