The Great White in Flight!

The Great White Egret is a large long-legged, S-necked white bird with all-white plumage. It is slightly smaller than the Great Blue or Grey Heron.

Before they were protected by law, the birds were nearly hunted to extermination seeking their beautiful white silky plumage called aigrettes, used in millinery.
