Knock Knock
So this big guy came whirling out the darkness late last night, loudly buzzing as he crashed into the side of the house. At which point, I ushered the dogs inside because, you know, they'd eat it if they got ahold of it. He fluttered around the deck a bit making a bunch of noise and I figured he'd find his way home.
This morning, as I sat by the window sipping my coffee, I noticed him hanging out on the window screen. Poor little fella looked like he was struggling with staying on and eventually fell off. Hubby scooped him up off the deck (again, because the dogs would eat him) and into a planter where he could eat some leaves.
I'm not a fan of these beetles that only show up in the summer. They fly like they're drunk - all crazy and loud and always crashing into things. But I hope he's going to be OK. I wish no ill will on any creatures... well, except for ants and wasps because, really? What is their purpose other than to creep me out?
