Orla & Conor

I See You!

Today in our journey around the swing parks of central Scotland, we found ourselves in Callander (we are not actively seeking out different swing parks, it just seems that now we end up in one wherever we go). It did not rate amongst the best swing parks we've been to, because there weren't actually any swings. And there was a great big adventure slide thing that Mum and Dad wouldn't let me go on. They did let me go on the little one though, and I had a lot of fun on it, especially spying Dad through these binoculars (and learning how to say binoculars). There was also a seesaw and a wooden train for crawling through and pretending to drive.

As well as the swing park we walked along the river and saw lots of ducks. It was a lovely warm, sunny afternoon in Callander.

In other news, Orla is obviously getting ready for entering the "terrible twos" by starting to throw tantrums. They are not major ones yet, but instead of the good natured child that we are used to, we are now quite regularly seeing a grumpy, moany one who cries when she doesn't get her own way. At one point this afternoon there was also some lying down on the floor rather than do something she was asked to. I am expecting it to be accompanied by kicking and screaming any day now. We try to stay calm and explain to her that it's not acceptable. Sometimes when she calms down she tells us she is sorry. She's not really though.
