Carlsberg don't make Sunday family afternoons

but if they did...

Today's blip is brief as we have just returned from a 300mile round journey on a day trip to my parents for their annual summer barbecue.

It's been a brilliant day and hopefully this small selection of photos captures some of the exuberance and happiness. J and A love visiting their grandparents; they love their grandparents, they love their garden and they love hanging out with their cousins. We've barely seen them all day; until we had to drag them to the car, wrap them in blankets and watch them collapse into a deep, contented, exhausted slumber. Also pictured are my dad and his hollyhocks of which he is very proud and my mom smiling as she relaxes with her three kids, their partners and all her grandkids in her garden - lots of things she loves very much.
