If I'm ever asked to direct a low-budget remake of The Shining set in Scotland (yes, I know it seems unlikely) this would be my Overlook Hotel.

We headed back from our weekend at the Peebles Hotel Hydro mid-morning, as Matt has a birthday party in the afternoon (when doesn't he? Do kids have more birthdays these days or something?). Drove back via Innerleithen and through the hills, which looked stunning.

Off to see Paul Buchanan from The Blue Nile tonight at The Usher Hall.
