Everything Old is New Again

When we packed up our old apartment last year, we found a few of my old cameras in storage, which my daughter B promptly rescued from the "Give Away" pile because, she says, "they're vintage." At her age, anything from the 90s and earlier is considered "vintage" or "classic"--a notion that used to make me laugh until recently when it dawned on me that "classic videos" on VH1 and MTV are the songs that make up the soundtrack of my youth (pre-teen through the early 20s). Definitely makes me feel old. On the upside, I suppose I should feel flattered that she thinks of my old stuff as cool collectibles rather than dusty relics.
