Aschen Brödel

Aschen Brödel is Cinderella.
This is the second ceramic fairytale, bought at the same times as this

This one suffered a serious drop from the shelf. The prince, Cinderella, and the bench all had to be re-glued to the main section. You can see the seam mark at Cinderella's neck, and through the Prince's legs. (In this view you cannot see that his neck has a seam). There is a large triangular chunk missing in the bench between the dove and Cinderella. The "glass slipper" (you can see the remaining piece of it that is setting on the floor in the right corner) and the left hand of the prince were fragmented so badly there was "no putting them back together again".

I am still amazed at how tiny a piece of clay the artisan could form! Note the beaks of the birds.
