My Papa and I have a few things in common -
our love for cooking (he's miles better at it, but then he got a headstart of 30 years!), for going on long walks in the forests picking mushrooms, and for taking pictures. We both got the same camera, and will be going on a course on how to use our Canon EOS in a few weeks time, so hopefully my pictures will be of better quality after that.

All of Germany being on holiday today (reunification day) meant I managed to steal my dad away for a few hours from his workaholic lifestyle and got him to walk through the Berlin Botanics with me and the kids. Had a lovely time although I have to say they don't match up to the Edinburgh Botanics where I spent half of the past 3 years. Mainly because the cafe didn't serve Valvona Bombolinis OR good coffee, and of course because my fellow mummies weren't there to run after the kids with me. Miss you guys!
