Respect?

Do you ever get the feeling you deserve a bit of appreciation and respect from certain people when you spend a great deal of your money into a company?

This is (unfortunately) the nearest supermarket from my home and i have been known to walk into there quite a few times to do my shopping. Only once in the 4 months since moving to Edinburgh have i found the staff there to be generally pleasant to deal with. After a month or so of using them as a regular bodily fuel supplier i found another supermarket not so far a way which i now use.

For the record i am not a snobby person. I think it is a very small thing to ask for when you go to a supermarket for the staff to at least do their job and help you should you need the help or at least look excited about something, whether it be the bunch of bananas they are standing next to. I work part-time in a well known movie rental store while studying and i treat it as part of my job to at least go out of my way to help the customer, after all this is what i am being paid for. So why can't the majority of the staff in this supermarket do the same thing?

For those of you familier with Edinburgh, you might recognise the store in the picture despite how poor the quality of the photograph is. This was more of a snap shot than an actual attempt at taking a proper shot.
