Ring 'o roses
Had a bit of a play with the home-madehome-made ring-light tonight.
I think it worked out OK.
These are mini roses.
The ring-light gives a fairly constant flood of light and has the benefit (if that's what you're looking for) of no side-shadows from light sources or the harshness of the flash.
This shot was taken in fairly low light with both rings on and the +4 close up lens.
With reference to the nursery rhyme, it's become popular knowledge that the rhyme was all about the great plague of London (what was great about that?).
But given it originates from the 1800's and the plague was in the 1600's it's fairly unlikely. It's also fairly international, although there are many variations in the words.
