9 Years old Karen

I took better photos today than this one. But I thought I had to choose this one because of the black hen in the picture. Her name is Karen and she is 9 years old Icelandic chicken.
We walk often past a lovely garden here in Hveragerði where there is a chicken house with 3 Icelandic hens strolling in the garden. They are all so colorful and we are allowed to hand feed them. My boy loves going there. Today the owner told me that the black hen was 9 years old. Nobody really knows how old these hens can get because they have not been pets before.
