Nocturne

A picture from the Nocturne cycling event in central Edinburgh. The circuit started in the Grassmarket, up Victoria Street, along George IV Bridge, round Greyfriars Bobby, down Candlemaker Row and back to the Grassmarket. Tried a few locations, but in the end settled for this spot at the top of Victoria Street. Top of the short climb, where riders seemed to lift their eyes and look along George IV Bridge. Got lucky when it started to rain!
Interesting event, and also a meeting of worlds, with the usual weekend stag and hen parties, pub-goers and Grassmarket 'characters' mixing with the cycling spectators. Not sure who was more bemused.
