Strength in numbers

One of the main reasons I really wanted M to go to the local elementary school for those days when I have to work but she is off the International School, was so that she could make friends who live nearby.
There are only the 3 of us, and fate doesn't seem set to change that, so when I bought this big house we live in, it was with the dream of creating a place people could feel relaxed about dropping by unannounced. This is not something that often happens here, unfortunately, as everyone's city life seems so busy, and when M's classmates are spread over such a large area of the city, it always seems to be a huge event to plan a gettogether.
Thankfully I am blessed with great friendly neighbours, who happen to have a daughter exactly M's age, and i was so glad to see these happy faces dive-bombing the paddling pool on the first flood free Saturday we've had for a while!
