L and I couldn't wait to sample our first ripe cherry tomatoes of the season. I rubbed mine on my shirt and popped one in my mouth. L just stared with a tinge of disgust on his face. I asked him why he wasn't eating his, and he said "because one of the dogs could have peed on it. It needs to be washed." I rolled my eyes and told him to live a little. Then I turned around to walk into the house to wash his tomato and noticed Jack lifting his leg on a small weed not far from the tomato vines. Oh, the bitter irony.
