Square Eyes

Had a training course at work today - was pretty good - delivered by my old boss from when I was a trainer. Was grand to see her again as she's based in Dundee and rarely gets down to Cardiff.

Was less than impressed with the 1hr drive home - why can't people from Cardiff drive in the rain? It's not as if they've had a lack of opportunity to learn ?!?

We had one of those conversations when i got home... the one that means we're gonna end up going out for dinner, but neither of us wants it to be our fault for suggesting it... eventually Mathew caved today, but I offered to pay. Was genuinely mortified at bill time to discover I'd left my wallet at home!

We had a lazy "computer" night - and then I started to get anxious about my blip. The weather's been awful so getting out wasn't an option earlier - but now the rain's stopped, so I tried some shots of Mathew on the balcony (me shooting from the bathroom window) but they didn't really work as I wanted... I still think it's a grand idea though, so will probably try again some other time. SP of me didn't work out so well either... bizarrely pictures of me seem to look better when others take them :(

Eventually I decided I'd like to try something with a strong directional, single light-source... so switched the lights off and got Mathew to sit in front of the TV. So here he is, looking all handsome and chiseled. No editing other than a crop.
