Pieces of a Jigsaw Puzzle

If anything can go wrong, it will (Murphy's law)

Just like everyday, I get ready and leave for work, listening to the radio in the rain (yes! we had rain again today) and the roads were full of water, about 4-5 inches today. Today's song was "I wish I was a punk rocker" by Sandi Thom. After parking my car, I started walking towards my office building with my stuff and just when I was going to enter the building, I saw a perfect blip shot. I took the photo and that is when everything changed. As soon as I opened the door of my office, I realized that there is no electricity. The next thing was that the computer lab was locked and if there was no electricity, how could we run the computers. And because there was so much water on the roads, only a handful of students were there for the class. After making inquiries from the Administration it was revealed that they have deliberately shut down the electricity and the generators because the basement of the building had alot of water and all the electricity generating machinery is always of course in the basement. All said and done, it was decided that there will be no classes and everyone should head home.

So, I gather all my stuff and head back to my car. Just when I was going to reverse my car it got stuck in a muddy pit. I could not see it because it was full of water. The difficulty was that there was concrete in front of the front tyres and mud at the back so I could not move my car forward or backwards and in the rain I could see no one around me. All said an done, I got out of the mess after about 30 minutes of struggle and by calling people from here and there and it took about 6 people to manually pick up the front types. During all this I took a picture of my car tyre stuck in the mud and I decided to put this up as my blip instead of the one I got earlier.

Well, my troubles did not end there. I reached home and turned on my laptop which crashed as soon as I turned it on. After a couple of attempts it did start but I could not log on to the internet and once again another issue. I was so angry by then that I decided to leave everything and I went to sleep (during the day :)). I just woke up a while ago and now restarted my laptop. Thought of trying out Ubuntu (I have a dual boot laptop) and the internet works here fine (Thank God, something went right :))

So, that was my story of the day ... Murphy's law in action ... Wonder whats going to go wrong next ... lol!!
