Butterfly bush
I have found the best place to look for butterflies at lunchtime. It's a big (probably 3m tall) buddleia bush, in a not-altogether-pleasant location next to the septic tank. Inevitably the area smells of poo - quite a contrast with the beautiful butterflies feeding next to it.
This is a Red Admiral, one of several feeding on the buddleia today. I'm fond of this species; it's one of the very common, familiar species that I grew up watching in my childhood garden.
