Hydrangea hortensis . . .
. . . or just a hydrangea that my Dad planted in the front garden over 40 years ago. In full bloom this plant measured over two meters across and looked magnificent.
About two years ago, the plant simply had to be moved. So, after pruning down to about 50 cm she was transplanted about twenty meters away and has done nothing since. But this year she has started to bloom again and hopefully will grow into her former self.
Who knows, next year she may measure two meters in diameter again.
My Dad would have been pleased!
Especially to have been photographed and shown to the whole world.
. . . Well, sort of.
